THE DIVING IN Sharm El Sheikh

The dive sites in Sharm cater for all levels from complete beginner to technical diver. Despite the large numbers of divers that request this area, the diving is still extremely good. The most popular dive sites are the Straits of Tiran in the north, Ras Mohammed in the south and Shaab Ali and the Thistlegorm wreck in the Gulf of Suez.

RED SEA COLLEGE

The Red Sea College is a UK managed diver training centre with unequalled levels of service and expertise. Located in the heart of Naama Bay it is within easy walking distance of all the main hotels in the centre or the college bus will collect clients from all the hotels in the surrounding area. The centre has a very warm and friendly atmosphere with an on-site coffee shop and comfortable seating area. Having worked in this area for around 15 years we strongly believe the Red Sea college is the best!!

The College arranges numerous boats leaving every day to the sites of the Northern Red Sea. They leave the jetty in Naama Bay, which is a 2 minute walk along the shore. The day starts at around 08:30 heading out to the first dive site which is between 10 minutes and 1 hour 10 minutes away. On the way, or on arrival, the guide will give you a briefing on the site and the dive profile and safety procedures. During the surface interval the crew will serve a buffet style hot lunch and you are welcome to help yourself to drinks any time during the day (it is essential that you drink water during the day, especially in the summer !!) During this time the boat will move to another site for the afternoon dive. The afternoon dive is usually concluded by about 2:30 to 3 pm after which the boat returns to the jetty by about 4 to 5 pm.
